Mothes Point : ウィキペディア英語版 | Mothes Point Mothes Point () is a point southwest of The Gullet on the east side of Adelaide Island, Antarctica. It was mapped by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey from air photos taken by the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition in 1947–48, and the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition in 1956–57. It was named by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee for German glaciologist Hans Mothes who, with B. Brockhamp, in 1926 made the first seismic soundings of a glacier, in Austria.〔 ==References==
